Tattoos have represented various different meanings in different cultures throughout history.

Although history has demonstrated that tattoos to have been used to represent religous beliefs, social status,
or even as a form of slavery branding, modern tattoos have taken a
new meaning
and are now often used as a form of
self expression and story telling.
