is a system of beliefs and practices that suggests a connection between celestial events and human affairs, often involving the study of the positions and movements of celestial bodies to interpret personality traits, predict future events, or influence earthly events. Astrology posits are the positions and movements of the sun, moon, planets, and stars influence events on Earth and the lives of individuals. The zodiac is a belt of constellations that the sun appears to move through over the course of a year. Astrology uses these constellations (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc.) to categorize individuals and their personality traits. Horoscopes are charts created based on the positions of celestial objects at a specific time and location, such as a person's birth. They are used to provide insights into an individual's personality, potential, and life events. The zodiac is further divided into twelve houses, each representing a different area of life (e.g., career, relationships, finances). Zodiac signs are associated with four elements (fire, earth, air, and water) and three qualities (cardinal, fixed, and mutable), which are believed to influence personality and behavior.
My love for astrology began at an early age. At just eight years old, I
would spend countless hours researching the different zodiac signs and
exploring the complexities of natal charts. I didn’t fully grasp how
intricate it all was back then—and wouldn’t until I was much older—but I
was fascinated nonetheless. As I grew older and began taking classes on
the subject, I discovered some of my other interests connected my
understanding of Astrology, many that developed as a child: mythology
(especially Greek), astronomy, and even my favorite childhood show,
Sailor Moon. It always amused me how that show helped me
understand the core traits of the zodiac signs and how they
interact—simply through the characters and their symbolic
representations and even personalities. Astrology has helped me learn so
much about myself and how to navigate life in a way that feels uniquely
tailored to me. I hope to continue deepening my knowledge so I can help
others better understand their own lives as well.
