Seafood Boil Heaven

What is a seafood boil?

Seafood boils are just a generic term for a social event where shellfish is the main element of a dish and consists of whatever your favorite seafoods are. Mine would be snow crab clusters, lobster tails, prawns, and crayfish.

You can also add other food elements to fully enhance the meal, such as corn, potatoes, sausages/hotdogs, and boiled eggs. In some instances, people add side dishes, as a palate refresher, such as roasted vegetables and peppers, cheese dips, etc. You can bring a seafood boil to events such as potlcuks, fish fries, barbecues or even general mixers. Depending on where you live and the ingredients accessible, a seafood boil can be prepared using different techniques like boiling, steaming, baking or dare to say, raw. It may contradict with the title of being a "boil", but the flavor and event is what defines the meal. Boils can also held by individuals for their friends and family for a weekend get-together and on the holidays of Memorial Day and Independence Day.

How is a seafood boil made?

There are a few different ways to make a seafood boil, but it all depends on the individuals' preferences. I like mine spicy, so I would lean towards a more seasoning filled seafood boil with lots of chilli. Nothing wrong with a seafoodboil without all the spices and extra steps at all, so having it that way is also nice.
