Scrapbooking is a creative process of creating pages to display photographs and keepsakes. Techniques include framing, piecing papers, peekabooing, paper punching, adding stickers, and stamping. Rubber stamps can add detail to photographs, with various colors and styles available. Stickers can be used in various finishes, and small pointed scissors can cut portions from different stickers to create eye-catching accents. Paper punches create confetti-like shapes, while peekabooing creates shaped openings to reveal parts of other pages. Piecing papers together resembles quilting, with shapes like squares or triangles creating pieced borders and frames. Framing can be done with un-punched papers or specialty materials like vellum, which is partially transparent and allows the edges of the photograph to be visible through the frame.
