Kickboxing is a stand-up combat sport that involves punches, kicks,
and knee strikes, with some styles including elbows and grappling. It
originated in the 1950s-1970s as a hybrid of karate, boxing, and other
martial arts. Modern kickboxing sports, like those seen on K-1, Glory,
or One Championship, allow punches, kicks, and limited
grappling/clinching. The full-body workout can strengthen muscles,
increase agility, and improve aerobic fitness. It's also been shown to
decrease stress and boost confidence
