The origin of Cupcakes is somewhat shrouded in mystery,
but it is widely believed that they were first created in the
late 18th century. It is said that the idea for
cupcakes came about because bakers wanted to create a smaller,
individual serving of cake that would be easy to bake and transport. The
first cupcakes were made in small, teacup-sized portions and were
typically baked in a small, shallow dish. Pretty as a picture! Dressed
in a beautifully piped purple buttercream & topped with blackberries.
