The ukulele is a member of the lute family of instruments. The ukulele is of Portuguese orgin and was popularised in Hawaii! The tone and volume of a ukulele varies with size and construction; they commonly come in four sizes: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone. Ukuleles have four nylon strings tuned to GCEA.
