Liminal spaces are places that exist in between, often characterized by their emptiness and ambiguity. They can be found in various settings, such as:

Abandoned buildings
Empty hallways
Deserted parking lots
Unfinished constructions

Dreamcore is a subgenre of aesthetics that focuses on dream-like imagery and surreal environments. It often features:

Soft lighting
Unusual color palettes
Distorted perspectives

What makes it eerie is the lack of usual context. Say for example, an indoor playground. If there is an image of kids playing in that playground, everything seems fine. But remove the kids (and tweak the lighting a bit haha), and notice how the human psyche is unable to cope with seeing the playground without it's usual context, which is the playing kids.
