A Californian Ghost Town

Bodie, California is a town frozen in time. Bodie became a State Historic Park in 1962. California State Parks maintains the buildings in a state of “arrested decay,” just as they were found when they took over the town – they do not restore the buildings; instead, they choose to simply preserve the buildings in their aged and weathered 1880s appearance.
