🍜INSTANT NOODLES 🍜
The Ultimate Guide to Instant Noodles
Hi! My name is Jodee and I love instant noodles. I have been exploring ways to elevate this simple pack of dry noodles and (yummy) flavoring which is must during this time as restaurants are closed during to the current pandemic!
Just in case you have been hiding under a rock, instant noodles are noodles sold in a precooked and dried block with flavoring powder and/or seasoning oil. The flavoring is usually in a separate packet, although in the case of a cup noodle, the flavoring is often loose in
the cup. There are so many different types of instant noodles and many South East Asian countries will have their own signature brand e.g. Nong Shim Shin Noodle Ramyun is from Korea while Indomie is from Indonesia.

- Load up on the protein
-
Many instant noodles do come with their own packets of dehydrated vegetable or meat flavoring, but why not elavate that flavour and texture by adding your own additional protein. Try simple items like ground meat, sausage, spam or even leftover
fried chicken. My personal favorite is a hotdog and egg... Just crack an egg into the same pot as noodles while it is cooking. You can stir it right in to create an egg-drop soup effect, or poach the egg gently in the soup broth to enjoy breaking the creamy yolk.......
8/10... EGGalicious!!!

- Try something Cheesy
-
For a more creamy instant noodle, place a slice of cheese on top of the noodles, watch it melt and stir into the noodles. It does not need to be a fancy cheese, a simple Dairylea slice will do.
7/10.... CHEESEalicious!!!
- Go Big on the vegetables
-
If you are craving for your 5 a day, add some fresh vegetables for that added crunch and ...... My go tos are sugar snap peas, broccoli, tomoatoes, sweetcorn and to finish off some spring onions....
8/10 VEGElicious!!!
- Be adventourous with the broth!
-
Don't feel that you need to use the flavoring packets which come in the instant noodles. Elevate your instant ramen by adding some Korean flavours such as Doenjang or Gochujang. Add the paste into the boiling water and wait for it to melt and then add the noodles. OR if you are feeling really adventurous, how about using 🥛 (milk)
