Roma Vocal Ensemble was established in Rome in January
2016. It consists of around thirty singers who share a strong passion for
choral music and have gained solid experience in this field over the
years. The ensemble works on thematic projects, with a repertoire ranging
from the Renaissance (Tallis, Purcell, Palestrina, Monteverdi, Gesualdo)
to contemporary music (Elder, Ešenvalds, Gjeilo, Incitti, Lawson,
Mitchell, Raczińsky, Stroope), including some masterpieces from the 19th
century (Schubert) and the 20th century (Britten, Duruflé).
They are currently working on their next project
Omaggio a Palestrina to celebrate the quincentennial birthday of
the great Renaissance composer Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina.
