Death to Democracy - Long live the Republic
They say that the moral arc of the universe bends towards justice, but
how long does justice last and what follows? Berlin is a remarkable
example of a city that has seen it all: philosopher kings, rebel
parliaments, emperors, fascists, communists and, at long last, the
republic. This tour through Berlin history tells a dramatic tale of
hope, courage and horror which has determined world events to this
very day.
In the garden of the beasts
Just beyond the Brandenburg Gate lies Berlin's central pearl: The
Tiergarten. On a tour through its western end you will be dazzeld by
old tales of Prussian game hunting and castles, the establishment of
Germany's first zoo, the rise and fall of empires, the last stand of
German Resistance against Hitler's Regime and many more stories about
cute animals, love, heroes and ruthless, endless violence.
The country of poets & thinkers
Looking beyond techno, this tour focuses on one of the most iconic
cultural centres of Berlin: The Museum Island. Let's explore the
tracks of philosophers, writers and scientist that have helped to
propel Berlin from a provincial backwater to a striving metropolis, a
city whose very fate is tied to the birth of relativity theory &
quantum mechanics, the discovery of Ancient Troy, Communism and the
burning of books.
