Dinosaurs are a diverse group of reptiles that first appeared between 243 and 233.23 million years ago.
Different Dinosaur communities were seperated by time and geography, the 'Age of the Dinosaur', also known as the Mesozoic Era, consisted of three consecutive geologic time periods.
Not all Dinosaur species lived at the same time, some species were themselves seperated by millions of years! The three different time periods and some examples of the species that were alive during those times are as follows:
252 to 201 million years ago
Liliensternus, Herrerasaurus & Asylosaurus
201 to 145 million years ago
Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus & Velociraptor
145 to 66 million years ago
Ankylosaurus, Triceratops & Tyrannosaurus
