Lost wax casting is one of the oldest
metal-forming techniques, dating back to around 3500 BC. It was used by
the Indus Valley Civilization to make sculptures and ornaments.
Jewellery lost wax is a technique for making jewellery using
a wax model and a mold. The wax is melted away to create a cavity, and
then molten metal is poured into the cavity to form the jewellery.
