🐾 Service Dog Paw Safety 🐾

Your service dog keeps you safe, keep them safe!

Shoes can keep your dog safe from burns, wounds, and bacterial infectons.

If you have chronic illness like me, your service dog will go with you where you go. They will be in the hospital with you where infections run a muck. Before they step foot in a hospital, they can burn their paws on the pavement, or get a cut from a broken bottle; even some ice melts are not safe for pups. If your pup has an injury, do not hesitate to take them to the vet. It can be beneficial to get pet insurance just in case. Prevent these injuries to your dogs paws by training your dog to wear shoes. You can also purchase a washable waterproof blanket or mat that they can rest on, and you can train them to only settle on that item. Your dog does not need to be a service dog to benefit from these practices. Most dogs go on walks, and sidewalks and streets get hot. Also, I see broken glass all of the time. If you live in a dog-friendly community like I do, dogs are welcome at many places. Have fun and keep your pup safe!
