Tennis is an indoor and outdoor ball game with a stringed racket, where you hit the ball back and forth over a net across a rectangular court. Singles are played for both sexes (one against one), doubles for both sexes (two against two) or mixed doubles (one man and one woman per team). The ball must be returned directly (volley) or after one bounce. The different surfaces on which tennis is played are gravel, the gravel they play on is called the slip, and the court is called the dyblonen, lawn, "hard court" and carpet (indoors). today it is one of the world's most widespread sports with some of the highest paid athletes such as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Đoković
