Hot pot, also known as huǒguō or jjigae, is a dish
whereby a pot of broth is placed over a heat source on the dining table
which keeps it at a gentle boil. It is accompanied by raw ingredients
which diners cook by sumberging into the simmering broth. Typical hot pot
ingredientes include thinly sliced meat, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, tofu
and seafood. At the end of the meal, the broth would have absorbed many
flavours from the ingredients and is served after turning the heat source
off
This dish is most commonly eaten during special occasions, such as during
celebrations or family gatherings, but it can be also enjoyed year-round.
So what are you waiting for?
