I love Baking

When did it start? Well it's a short story really 🥰

It all started in 2020, Covid year. I was in my final year of high school, matric as we call it in South Africa. As we all know the whole world was under lockdown, so no one went to work and no one went to school. People were even afriad of goign to the shops for groceries, Covid-19 was highly transferable. So my family and took up baking as a hobby. It was a little special period of bonding and discovering things as a family. My mom and cousin would bake bread constantly, and my dad and I would bake the sweet treats. My dad made cakes specifically, and I made malva pudding, milk tarts and peppermint crisp tarts. The sweet treats I made are exclusively South AFrican desserts that the whole world needs to discover.

I honestly think everyone can bake, you just need to follow the instructions and measurements for the recipe. It so theraputic to take out your anger, frustration or anxiety out onto a treat that you will enjoy. I believe it's also a form of self love.
