Marimba

My favorite hobby

A marimba is a percussion instrument made of wooden bars arranged like a piano keyboard. When struck with mallets, these bars produce melodic tones. Beneath each bar, resonator tubes amplify the sound, creating a warm, rich tone. The marimba is commonly used in classical, jazz, and world music, and is known for its deep, resonant sound, similar to a xylophone but with a broader range and mellower tones.
