A few years ago, my mom told me about the concept of forest bathing.
I think traveling is the perfect place for this! Whenever I travel now,
I like to take find the time center myself and regroup. It's always in
the places you never think to look that take your breath away. This past
year, I traveled to Prescott, Arizona, for my cousin's
wedding. When I think of Arizona, I think hot, cacti, and baseball. I
did not think that I would come face to face with serenity and the most
beautiful lake. The picture below is from Lake Watson, in Prescott,
Arizona. This was a mountainous area that fortunately was not in the
hundreds for temperature. The water was full of algea so it wasn't safe
for swimming, but the views while kayaking were incredible.
So get out there, take the road less traveled, and find the beauty in
our world. While I floated through the water, I felt myself "forest
bathe" and reset. I felt refreshed, renewed, and at peace. You never
know what's in your backyard. Go find your peace, soak in that
beauty, and snaps some pics so you can look back when you need it most!
Another place I go to a lot to relax is Truckee, CA. I am fortunate that my family owns a house up there, and I can get away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area and just get out of town and relax! Below are some of my favorite pictures from Truckee.
I don't know where I'm going to go next, but I'm looking forward to the adventure, and seeing what beauty I can find!
