🏠🏋🏽 Home Workout

My favourite hobby

The history of home workouts can be traced back to ancient civilizations, where physical fitness was essential for survival and military preparedness. Early forms of exercise included bodyweight movements, such as calisthenics, practiced by the Greeks and Romans.

In the 20th century, home workouts gained popularity with the advent of fitness culture. The 1950s saw the rise of home fitness equipment, like the first exercise bikes and bands. The 1980s brought about the VHS workout revolution, with celebrities like Jane Fonda leading the way in home aerobics.

The emergence of the internet in the late 1990s and early 2000s transformed home workouts again, allowing access to online videos, fitness forums, and digital classes. In recent years, the COVID-19 pandemic further accelerated the trend, making virtual workouts and streaming services a staple for many, emphasizing convenience and flexibility in maintaining fitness at home.
