The is a not for profit website to bring together fox lovers and fox curious people. Foxes are beautiful animals and often very misunderstood. We hope this website will help teach people about the joy of foxes as well as to raise vital funds to help save them from abuse such as fur farms and hunting. 1. The smallest breed is the fennec fox, which weighs less than 3
pounds - kitten sized!
2. Foxes are fast and agile! Some breeds can reach speeds of over
40mph and can jump 3 feet in the air.
3. They have amazing hearing and can hear a watch ticking 35 meters
away.
4. On average, foxes in Scotland are bigger than the other nations of
the UK.
5. The grey fox from North American is the only breed that climbs
trees.
6. A group of foxes is known as a leash or a skulk.
7. Foxes can retract their claws like cats, but are in fact related to
dogs.
8. They have whiskers on their legs as well as their face to help with
navigation.
9. Foxes generally only mate once per year and, on average, females
give birth to 4-6 pups between March & May.
10. Foxes use their tail as a blanket, which is why they get
especially bushy in the winter months.
