Vedic Astrology refers to Indian or Hindu astrology, a system that originated in ancient India and which was documented
by sages in the Vedic scriptures. Astrology is the science of the effects of planetary movements on
our lives. Once the correct positions of the signs and planets are known, astrologers can construct charts representing these positions.

♍The Signs♍
They're are 12 Zodiac signs, and each sign has its own characteristics.
The zodiac signs can be divided into three types based on flexibility.
They are Movable, Fixed & Dual.
Movable signs – Aries, Cancer, Libra & Capricorn. These represent Activity, Movement, Adaptibility, Change, Quickness,
Reform, Independence, Moving on, Flexibility, and Dissatisfaction
Fixed signs – Taurus, Leo, Scorpio & Aquarius. These represent Steadiness, Rigidity, Headstrong nature, Fixed, Slow but
steady, Accumulation, Steady/ Calm, Resolute, and Determined.
Dual signs – Gemini, Virgo, Saggitarius, Pisces. These represent a mix of both the above and hence their ‘dual’ nature,
Learning oriented, Pedantic, Philosophical, Inclined to reading/ writing, Inclined to communicate/ preach/ teach, Open
to ideas/ and learning.

The planets in vedic astrology are
Sun - Sun in Vedic astrology occupies the position of king due to being at the center of it all.
Moon - Moon in Vedic Astrology is believed to emit a calm and feminine energy. It is the queen among the nine imperial
stars
Mars - Mars in Vedic astrology is a masculine planet signifying strength and supremacy.
Mercury - Mercury is neither masculine not feminine; it acquires the persona of the sign it is placed in.
Jupiter - Jupiter is the “Guru”, it takes us from ignorance to the light of wisdom. Jupiter in Vedic Astrology is
associated with children
Venus - Venus is all about desires, the desire for wealth and riches, the desire for sensual pleasures, the desire to
see the world from rose-tinted glasses, the desire to be surrounded by beauty and creativity, and last but not the
least, the desire to be romanced and share all these pleasures with someone special.
Saturn - There are times when you feel why my life is so difficult when I am doing everything right. This is what Saturn
is meantto do for you. It is about discipline, difficulties, delay, duties, dealings, and denials at times. It wants you
to work hard, put in your best efforts, learn from your mistakes so when you get a taste of success, it still keeps you humble
and grounded, despite having a wealth of knowledge.

A Birth Chart is often referred to as a map of planetary positions at the time of one’s birth which is very helpful to
understand many aspects of one’s personality, career, relationship and discover what the future holds. An astrology birth
chart consists of twelve houses, twelve signs and nine to twelve planets.
