Curling is a four-person team sport played on a long, narrow, pebbled sheet of ice. Two teams play eachother, taking turns sliding granite rocks from one end of the sheet to a target at the other. After each team has played their 8 rocks, the score of the end gets tallied. The team with the highest score after 8 or 10 ends wins. Two-player team variations of the game, such as mixed doubles, are rising in popularity.
