Monkey D. Luffy, a young man made out of rubber, inspired by his childhood idol, Shanks, sets off on a journey from his home to find the legendary treasure, the One Piece, and proclaim himself the King of the Pirates. He meets his crew and recruits them. They face massive challenges but everything always seems to end up working even though some things don't go to plan. Together, they encounter other pirates, bounty hunters, criminal organizations, revolutionaries, secret agents, and soldiers of the corrupt World Government, and various other friends and foes, as they sail the seas in pursuit of their dreams.
Now I know 1115 episodes (and still counting 😉) are not always appealing but... a new announcement was made stating there will be a remake with a more concise number of episodes. See more here!
A new live action for the anime is currently being filmed for their second season in Cape Town, Africa. The second season is rumored to be released on Netflix in 2025 but you start watching the first season out on Netflix. Check it out here!
