Cinque Terre is a costal area within Liguria, in the northwest of Italy. It is comprised of five fishing villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manorola, and Riomaggiore, linked only by mule trails until recently. Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
