What are Satos?

Sato originated as a slang term for unwanted and often mistreated feral dogs in Puerto Rico. Satos are typically small dogs under 30lbs. The majority have terrier in them so they tend to be incredibly smart and quick to learn.

There are approximately 300,000 homeless Satos in Puerto Rico. The street or beach is a very hard life for a dog and most do not make it past their second birthday. With help, we can give all Satos the loving home they deserve.
