Character creation is my favorite part of D&D. I like to start with a
well-known person or fictional character and build from there. Because
my daughter loves Elsa from Disney's Frozen, Elsa was the inspiration
for Drífa Tári, a half-elf sorceress with wild magic pictured above.
Drífa means "snowdrift" in Icelandic and Tári is
elvish for "queen".
Make sure you give your character a background, a
personality and a motivation. This
will help you when you have to figure out what your character might do
or say in any situation.
It is helpful to think of at least one
flaw for your character, this allows your character to
develop as they interact with their party members and their environment.
The more dynamic and realistic your character is, the more fun your
character will be to play.
Don't be afraid to tweak your character's personality and motivations
following significant events or interations in your campaign!
