Hair is not just hair to a woman, it serves as a source of strength, of beauty, of confidence, and forms part of ones identity. Type 4 hair in particular has been styled and embraced in various ways, from curls to big afros, protective styling and complex braids, from afar it looks like a work of art, better yet it is a work ART!
But less people talk about the amount of work that goes into maintaining
and growing it, keeping it healthy and protected. How it has also been
broken down and categorised based on it's coil patterns, porosity,
thickness and texture, now base on that we can easily tell how certain
products will not work for everyone to add to that nobody talks about
how costly those products can be, not to add the weekly wash day
routines, trimming split ends and deep conditioning. Now the thought of
type 4 hair means work, right? Wrong it means it neeeds love in order to
flourish.
