I am a self-trained chef, located in Nairobi Kenya and one thing i love to make because it's easy and
fast is
spaghetti bolognese.
Bolognese is a meat-based sauce. Traditional Bolognese sauce incorporates ground beef,
onions, tomatoes, and
a
variety
of herbs and spices. The sauce is usually slow-cooked for several hours to allow the flavours to
develop and
the
meat to
become tender. This creates a rich, savoury sauce often served with pasta, and is sometimes used as
a
filling
for
lasagne. In Italy,Bolognese sauce is traditionally served with tagliatelle, the wide, flat noodles of
tagliatelle
are perfect for catching
and holding onto the rich sauce.
Commonly known around the world as spaghetti bolognese, in its authentic form 'Ragu alla
Bolognese'
is
recognised as the
national dish of Italy. Its origin can be traced back to Imola, a town near the city of Bologna,
where a
recipe
was
first recorded in the 18th century.
