;
I have had a cockatiel whose name was Sogol I took her parenting after
sixty days of her birth. She was too young to diagnose her gender, but I
felt she might be female, so I chose Sogol for her name (persian name).
She was a little baby who hadn't even grown all her feathers and couldn't
walk on the floor. She was just screaming and stumbling. Sogol soon grew
up and started flying, singing and playing. We were totally dependent on
each other. I can't even imagine a day separate from my darling.
Her favorite food was tea bread, lentils and sunflower seeds, an exact
taste like me. I mostly kept her out of her cage and, only to sleep, put
her inside. Sogol flew around home from bedroom to living room sitting
upon the curtains, and she made me run to follow her. If not, she was
screaming and calling me to do that. Sogol also swam in my cup of tea
after the drank couple of drops, actually cleaned her body inside it.
A female cockatiel can lay eggs without mating and this happened to my
bird. She laid a small egg. I Separated it but still she was remaining on
the floor of the cage. I thought she may have another one, but after a
couple of days, Sogol passed away and left me alone. Sogol was sick, but I
didn't get it.
Now, after three years of living with her, I lost my little angel.
