The most common basic colors for LEGO bricks are red, yellow, blue, black, white, and gray. Since the 1990s, other colors have been gradually introduced, and today dark gray, green, sand, brown, wine red, dark green, pastel colors, and even transparent bricks are also common. For many years, LEGO did not make any green bricks, except for the baseplates that form the base of the building, because they were used to make tanks and military aircraft, and the company was afraid that it would be seen as an endorsement of war. However, these concerns are now a thing of the past, as the sets include a variety of neutral-colored bricks and early modern firearms.
