  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook until softened.
  3. Add the minced beef and cook until browned all over.
  4. Stir in the tomato puree, chopped tomatoes, beef stock, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve the sauce over the spaghetti and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

I persuaded my uncle to take a quick diversion to Bologna, the birthplace of my favourite sauce, since I adore Bolognese sauce so much. For me, visiting Bologna and enjoying bolognese was an obligatory trip. I firmly believed that it would be the most delicious bolognese I had ever had.
