In my area, people can volunteer to board service dogs for a variety of different reasons. For example, maybe a puppy's trainer is going on holiday. Being available to board the dogs helps the organisations deal with unexpected situations and makes sure their dogs get the best continuous care. And, you get to have a dog in your house for a while without the full time commitment. How good is that?
