1.17, the first release of the Caves and Cliffs update, is
an upcoming major update for Minecraft: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
themed around revamping caves, mountains, and cliffs. It was announced
during Minecraft Live 2020 on October 3, 2020, and will likely be released in Summer of 2021.
