K-pop (Korean: 케이팝; RR: keipap), short for Korean popular music, is a form of popular music originating in South Korea as part of South Korean culture. There are two divisions of Kpop idols.

  1. Soloists

These are artists that perform, either independently or under a record label, as a singular unit. As the name implies, It consists of only one person as the main artist, and like every other group during on-stage performances, can feature extras or backup dancers.

  2. Soloist Jeon Somi of The Black Label.
  3. Groups/Bands

These are artists that perform, either independently or under a record label, as a group of artists. As the name implies, It consists of a group of people as the main artists, and like every other group during on-stage performances, can feature extras or backup dancers.

  4. Seventeen of Pledis Entertainment

Kpop entertainment features cute and somewhat technical dances, robust hand and hip movements as part of said dances, and a transition from one era of music to the next via music videos every comeback. I enjoy watching the latest music videos from my favourite artists and using youtube channels to help practice and perfect the steps and dance moves I have seen. You can also learn to dance just like a Kpop Idol. Click the link below to enjoy a part of this beautiful culture with me.
