White wine sangria is a light, refreshing, and ideal
drink for a hot summer day. This tasty concogtion requires only a few,
easy-to-find ingredients. While red wine sangria is most common, white
wine makes a lighter-bodied version that is very easy to
drink. All you need is white wine, some fruit, a bubbly component such as
lemon soda, club soda, cava, or prosecco, and an optional liqueur. But all
is fair in the sangria game, so any additions or substitutions you can
think of can also yield a flavorful beverage. Sangrias are easy to make
and even easier to drink. If you want to give this a quick tropical spin,
add mango or nectarines into the mix, or go all berries for a pinkish hue.
Choose a white wine of your choice but there's no need to splurge.
Ingredients
2 packs of raspberries (2 x 150g)
15 strawberries, cut into wedges
1 lemon, cut into wedges
1 bottle of white wine
1 cup of white rum
4 cups of lemonade
cava or prosecco to top it off
Steps to Make It
Gather the ingredients.
Cut the lemon into wedges and toss them into the pitcher. If possible,
remove the seeds.
Pour the white wine into the pitcher and add the raspberries and
strawberries.
Add the rum and the lemonade.
Place it in the fridge for a few hours to let the mixture settle and
the berries soke up some of the taste.
Add the cava or prosecco to the mixture before serving so the sangria
retains its sparkle or add cava or prosecco directly to the glasses to
top it off
