My favorite place to vacation
My favorite place to vacation is Hawaii, especially in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island. My first vacation to Hawaii was when I was 10 years old. My family and I spent a few days exploring Oahu before island hopping to Maui. I remember hiking the Pools of 'Ohe'O which is also called the "Seven Sacred Pools". As a 10 year old, I wasn't thrilled when my parents dragged my sister and I to Haleakala to see the sunrise. 😂 My second vacation with my family to Hawaii was two years later. I was bummed that I could not take 🏄♀️ surfing lessons 🏄♀️ in Waikiki because I had a broken ankle. This time my family hopped to the island of Kauai. My most memorable experiences were taking a helicopter tour and a Zodiac boat ride. My third vacation to Hawaii was decades later when my family traveled to Kailua-Kona and Hilo on the Big Island. This was my husband's and daughter's first visit to Hawaii. Being a beachgoer like me, my daughter fell in love with Hawaii. My last visit to Hawaii was especially meaningful as it was my Dad's last trip to Hawaii. We spent our days and evenings enjoying the beaches, sunsets, music, culture and ambiance of Kailua-Kona.
