In the past, Poké Balls were originally crafted by hand by carving
out Apricorn fruit. The invention of these Poké Balls
were seemingly invented in the Johto region, a location where the Apricorn fruit can grow. Some people
in the modern day, such as Kurt of Azalea Town, still make Poké Balls using these older methods. These modern creations
of Poké Balls are fitted with a special device used for capturing Pokémon.
