Every few months, a group of local photographers arrange the Victoria Photo Walk as a way to learn, experiment and make new work about the complex relationship between people and place. Whether you're an experienced photographer or you've just picked up a camera for the first time, we'd love for you to join us as we explore the beautiful sights the city has to offer.
We meet at the Moss Lady in Beacon Hill Park at 4pm on June 15. Would you like to discover and photograph the city? This tour is for you. Led by professional photographer, magazine editor and local guide Scott Tapley, the Victoria photo tour is an ideal way to get to know your camera in the on the most beautiful cities on the West Coast. Bring whatever camera you have and find out how to take some great shots. We start with a talk about how to use your camera. We’ll make the techy stuff as interesting and easy as possible: find out about blurred shots, freeze motion, how to get the best from variable light, composition, focus. We will cover shutter speed, aperture and ISO.
