Baking is definitely my number one favourite pastime. I have been baking with my mum since I was a child and experimenting with recipes with my nan and grandad. I have baked for baby showers, birthdays, Christmas and other occasions and I love to create new and exciting flavours for people to try. I began baking properly when I was around 14 when my mum was diagnosed with thyriod cancer, resulting in several allergies to gluten and dairy. Therefore, she was not able to have her favourite baked goods from normal supermarkets and it was extremely difficult to find and free from cakes anywhere.
