WHAT ARE OREOS AND WHY I LOVE THEM?

Oreo is a brand of sandwich cookie comprising of two chocolate biscuits or cookie pieces and a sweet fondant filling. Nabisco introduced it on March 6, 1912 and Mondelez International has held both Nabisco and the Oreo brand since 2012, following a series of business purchases, mergers, and splits.Oreo cookies are accessible in more than 100 countriesOreo cookies' ingredients have generally remained unchanged since their inception, while several alternate types and flavors have arisen throughout the years. Oreo cookies were produced using lard until the mid-1990s, when Nabisco replaced the animal fat with partly hydrogenated vegetable oil. Then, in the mid-2000s, Nabisco removed partly hydrogenated oil from its components due to mounting health concerns.

What I love about Oreos is that one of the appealing aspects of Oreos is their versatility in culinary applications. They can be incorporated into various recipes such as cakes, utilized as a topping for ice cream alongside waffles, enjoyed in pre-made chocolate bars featuring Oreo pieces, or simply dunked in milk for a classic indulgence. Furthermore, the introduction of new flavors such as:
  • Golden Oreo
  • Chocolate Oreo
  • Strawberry Oreo
  • further enhances the appeal and variety of this beloved snack.
