Crochet is a more recent fiber art form than weaving or knitting. It is the art of producing interlocking loops or stiches of fiber with a bone, metal or wooden hook. Using a crochet hook to thread loops of yarn through loops, one can create cloth out of yarn or thread by crocheting. It's kind of like knitting, but instead of using knitting needles, a crochet hook is commonly used, and only one loop is ever active at a time. Furthermore, a machine cannot make crochet. Although crocheting is quicker to do by hand, it requires more yarn than knitting.
