WHAT IS SEX?

The term is commonly used by medical professionals, sex experts and everyday people in day-to-day conversation. But while everyone agrees that sexual intercourse is a type of sexual activity, the consensus on what it means stops there. Some people think only penetrative penis-in-vagina sex counts as sexual intercourse. After all, that’s the historical definition. But is it still classed as sexual intercourse if the man doesn’t ejaculate? And what about blow jobs or cunnilingus, do they count as sexual intercourse? How about anal sex and heavy petting? And what if the people having sex don’t have a penis and a vagina? Is the sex lesbian, gay and same-sex couples have not classed as sexual intercourse?
