The Ultimutt race is an annual 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk sprinkled with
fun obstacles along the trail that both you and your
dog must complete together!
Whether you walk or run, jump over or crawl, you are guaranteed to have
the best time surrounded by the goodest doggos that ever obstacle raced!
💕
UltiMutt offers TWO waves: a
Competitive Wave (for a chance to be crowned Men &
Woman's Small & Large dog UltiMutt Champtions) and the Fun Wave (for everyone else).
We believe every dog & human deserves an active lifestyle with an
unbreakable bond. That's why
10% of every registration fee along with 100% of all
donations
will go towards food and medical supplies for dogs and cats at
Greenville County Animal Care.
Spectators & Families & Racers are welcome at the
Noble Dog Finisher's Festival from 9AM-2PM, where you
can grab some snacks, treats, and food, and enjoy the absolutely
stunning views of Homestead at Hartness--rolling hills, sparkling ponds,
rippling brooks, and of course some muddy spots, uphill climbs, and
downhill slides!

The Rules
Each participant may only run 1 dog at a time.
Children Age 7-11 may enter the race, but only with an adult who
handles the dog. Children Age 12+ may enter the race with a dog &
without an adult.
Dogs must be leashed at all times. Retractable leashes are not
allowed.
We recommend using a dog harness to protect your dog’s neck while
racing/overcoming obstacles. (Tip: A hands-free leash helps you
safely overcome obstacles.)
Dogs must be at least 1 year old on race day and up to date on all
vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), veterinary check-ups, be free
from any health-related issues such as: complications of old age,
joint pain, injury, and must be medically cleared by a veterinarian to
compete in the UltiMutt Race. *Vet records will not be required at
registration table, however, we recommend having a photo of them on
your phone handy in the case there arises any issue.
Dogs must be regularly socialized and comfortable around unfamiliar
people and dogs. If you are unsure how your dog will react in a crowd,
please err on the side of caution and do not bring him to the event
and risk him being uncomfortable. For questions about socializing your
dog, please consult your veterinarian.
Squat Penalty: Competitive Wave racers, if you or your dog cannot
complete an obstacle you must move to the side of the course and
perform 30 squats before moving forward. For Fun Runners, completing
the 30 squats is optional.
We award a trophy and the coveted title of UltiMutt Champion to the
Top Male w/ dog & Top Female w/ dog that finish with the fastest time
while having completed all the obstacles/30 squat penalty.
