Staying Grateful

... it's a superpower

Do you remember being told by your parents to be grateful? It might have felt unfair or perhaps even impossible, particularly when you were expected to be grateful for a present you didn't care for. Being grateful and appreciative as an adult is likely to be just as hard. Social media might even be making it worse as our awareness of what we don't have is ever present, leaving us disatisfied; rarely able to truly appreciate what we have.
So the concept of 'staying grateful' is truly powerful. It means identifying, recognising and appreciating what you have, no matter how small. It means daily and consistent appreciation.
Put simply, when we stay grateful, we appreciate ourselves, our skills, our relationships and our lives. Staying grateful is a game-changer.
Reminding ourselves to stay grateful and demonstrate that regularly can help us to thrive.
