Everything Health & Fitness

Fitness means different things to different people and Health has something for everyone, whether you're just getting started with a workout routine or have been training since before TikTok was a thing.

Workouts

Resistance training is a vital component of any fitness regimen, offering a range of benefits beyond muscle growth. It enhances strength, boosts metabolism, and improves body composition. Not only does it increase lean muscle mass, but it also strengthens bones, preventing injuries and promoting overall stability. The release of endorphins during resistance training contributes to stress reduction and improved cognitive function, fostering a sense of well-being. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, incorporating resistance training into your routine is crucial for building a balanced, resilient, and thriving body.

Nutrition

Nutrition is paramount for optimal gym performance and achieving fitness goals. It fuels your workouts, aids in muscle recovery, and supports overall well-being. Protein, in particular, is crucial for muscle repair and growth. It provides essential amino acids, expediting recovery and promoting a feeling of fullness. Whether your aim is muscle building or improved endurance, prioritizing nutrition, especially through ample protein intake, is essential for unlocking your body's full potential and ensuring lasting fitness success.

Monitoring macronutrient intake ensures a well-rounded diet that meets individual nutritional needs. Whether you're looking to build muscle, lose weight, or simply maintain a healthy lifestyle, paying attention to macronutrients is a key component of achieving your nutritional objectives.

Skincare

My Simple Daily Skincare Routine:

    Morning Routine:

      1. Cleanser: Use a gentle cleanser that won't strip natural oils, I use Skin Functional's 2.5% Jojoba Oil % Almond Oil cleanser.
      2. Moisturizer: Opt for a moisturizer that containing humectants to attract and retain moisture, as well as emollients to keep that moisture locked in. A good choice is Cetaphil's Optimal Hydration Lotion.
      3. Sunscreen: Broad-Spectrum SPF 30 or higher: I use XeroDerm , it's moisturising, fragrance free and no irritation!

    Evening Routine:

      1. Cleanser: Use the same gentle cleanser as in the morning to cleanse your face.
      2. Moisturizer: Make sure to use an emollient-rich cream that contains ceramides or fatty acids to nourish your skin. I use SBR repair
      3. Retin-A (Tretinoin): Apply a pea-sized amount of prescription retin-A (tretinoin) to target fine lines, wrinkles, and improve skin texture. Follow any specific instructions from your dermatologist and build up a tolerance slowly.

You can incorporate a Vitamin C serum into your daily routine, as well as a chemical exfoliant for your nighttime skincare routine based on your skincare needs and skin tolerance.

Ultimately, the reasons for sticking to a basic skincare routine are personal and can vary from person to person. It's essential to choose a routine that aligns with your skin's needs, your lifestyle, and your individual preferences.
