It's not just for Strava

The running epidemic is flooding Tiktok and Strava at the moment. While I am so pleased to see this hype around such a healthy habit, I am here to tell you that you that this sport doesn't have to be asthetically pleasing or about improvement.

I started doing parkrun at weekends as a way to get out of the house at Uni about 5 years ago. Ever since then I have been running for my mental health. The endorphins never fail to boost my mood. Over the course of 5 years I am still at a similar pace to what I was in 2019. Not everything has to be about getting better - I am happy I have this healthy habit that makes me feel alive... Don't ever feel bad if you're not running as fast as the social media girlies!
