Your Name (Japanese: 君の名は, Hepburn: Kimi no Na wa), is a
2016 Japanese animated romantic fantasy film written and directed by
Makoto Shinkai, produced by CoMix Wave Films and distributed by Toho.
It depicts the story of high school students Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha
Miyamizu, who suddenly begin to swap bodies despite having never met,
unleashing chaos on each other's lives.
The film was inspired by the frequency of natural disasters in Japan.
Characters:
Mitsuha Miyamizu
is a 17-year old high-school student living in a small rural town
called Itomori and a member of the Miyamizu family where she serves as
a priestess in her family shrine.
Taki Tachibana
is a 17-year old high-school student who lives a busy lifestyle as he
juggles his part-time job at an Italian restaurant, spends fun times
with his friends and hopes for a future in architecture.
Yotsuha Miyamizu
is a side character in Kimi no Na wa. She is Mitsuha's younger sister,
an elementary-school student, and a member of the Miyamizu family.
