Chocolate is a food made essencialy of roasted cocoa beans. The cocoa
plant is native from the Latin American, it have bright yellow big pods
with a core full of small seeds - cocoa seeds. The native tribes use it
for around 5300 years and is was brought to Europe in the 16th century. In
our days the biggests producers of cocoa are located in Africa.
The cocoa seed must be fermented, dryied, clean anda roasted. After that
the shell is removed and the seed are grounded to a mass and heated
creating the chocolate liquor. When the liquor is cooled it divides in
two: cocoa solids and cocoa butter.
There are 3 types of chocolates:

Dark Chocolate
Made with cocoa solids and cocoa butter, oils and some sugar and it's
bitterness depends of amount of sugar.

Milk chocolate
Made with the same way as dark chocolate but it also contains milk
powder or condensed milk.

White Chocolate
Is made with cocoa butter, oils, milk and sugar. But no cocoa solids.
Chocolate is very versatile and can be used in many diferent ways as
dessert, a sause, a snack and even beveriges (hot and cold, with and
without alcool).
